The sterile gallstone extraction balloon is a medical device that has in its proximal part three Luer-lock connectors that are used for inflation of the balloon, passage of the guide wire and for injection of liquids (usually contrast liquid). These connectors join the 3 lumens that are part of the triple lumen catheter. The triple lumen catheter at its distal end has a natural latex balloon of different diameters and lengths. The extraction balloon is a single-use product, used for the endoscopic extraction of gallstones. It can also be used for injection of contrast medium while obstructing the bile duct with the balloon. The balloon can be provided with three polycarbonate syringes with silicone stoppers, which ensure 3 different diameters of balloon inflation. These syringes fulfill the function of filling the balloon with air and do not inject fluid into the patient or have contact with it.
