WHAT IS IT? The CovaWound™ Silicone Self-Adhering Soft Silicone Foam Dressing with Borders (Fine) is an absorbent, atraumatic dressing consisting of a soft silicone adhesive that will not stick to the wound surface or cause epidermal detachment or pain upon removal. The core of the dressing consists of a polyurethane foam and a non-woven layer to contain exudate and prevent the wound bed from drying out and the surrounding skin from macerating. The outer surface of the product is a vapor-permeable membrane that acts as a barrier against fluids and microorganisms.
